The DPG as a guest: Students discover the everyday working life of physicists
When choosing a career, it is not so easy for students to imagine their future working life. For this reason, SCANLAB regularly invites visitor groups from universities and research institutes to take a look behind the scenes.
As part of the DPG (Deutsche Physikalische Gesellschaft / German Physical Society) laboratory visit program 'A day on site', physics students were once again guests at SCANLAB on April 9 to gain an insight into the day-to-day work of a physicist.
The students were able to get to know the work areas of scanner development, application and software & control from different perspectives in various short presentations.
After that, two small groups were able to mark themselves a sustainable lunchbox themselves in our laser laboratory and to take a closer look at SCANLAB's production.
At a joint lunch in a relaxed atmosphere in the canteen all were able to ask additional questions and exchange about the learnings.
Thanks to all for the great feedback!
Why is SCANLAB happy about such activities?
We are always on the lookout for curious talents with whom we can turn our visions into reality. We are also pleased when we can make it easier for graduates to choose a career by giving them a real insight into different areas of work.
As a growing, economically very stable company, SCANLAB is an attractive medium-sized employer. The flat hierarchies, short decision-making paths, a positive error culture and the great team make it easy for graduates to feel at home and realize their potential.
