Offset Error

Offset error is a shift of markings along one or both image field axes.

What causes offset error?

When the axes are precisely set to 0°, the laser focus should lie in the system-defined center of the image field. Manufacturing tolerances can result in discrepancies.

Offset error is the angular deviation between the theoretical and actual null position, expressed as an optical angle.

Remedy

Offset errors, i.e. deviations from the null position, can be corrected by manually determining an offset value or by applying software-assisted image field correction (e.g. with correXion pro).
